October 1, 2003 - 2003 Regional HobNob
Bill Cowles, Orange County Supervisor of Elections, invited the Pasco County Supervisor of Elections office to participate
in the 2003 Regional HobNob. "Politics in the Park" was held at Orlando's Loch Haven Park on October 1, 2003. The
iVOTRONIC voting system was a big hit with the local residents and politicians who attended the event.


September 19, 2003 - Student Council Election
Students at Pasco Elementary School utilized the iVOTRONIC voting system during their Student Council Election on
September 19, 2003. Events like this offer an opportunity for the elections’ office to educate the voters of tomorrow.


September 9, 2003 - Pollworker Orientation
A pollworker orientation was held at the Election Support Center in Dade City. Orientations are held to familiarize
prospective pollworkers with Election Day, expectations at the polling place, and different positions available.


April 30, 2003 - Pasco High Seniors Visit
Seniors from Business Education classes at Pasco High School visited our office. We shared our
experiences and offered advice as professional public servants regarding such topics as educational
requirements, communication skills, and good business habits.


April 29, 2003 - High School Voter Registration Contest
The Annual High School Voter Registration Contest was held at the public high schools on Tuesday,
April 29, 2003, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The drive, designed to promote voter awareness and youth participation, doubled as an
iVotronic exhibition this year. The Supervisor of Elections used the competition as a
means of demonstrating Pasco County's new touch screen voting system.
The nine participating schools had iVotronic machines on hand to acquaint the students
and faculty with touch screen voting.
Residents of the community were encouraged to register to vote or make
changes to their voter registration record at their local high school during the drive.
Congratulations to Pasco High School! They had 146, or 33.1% of eligible students, register to vote.

March 20, 2003 - Cox Elementary School
Students from Cox Elementary School visited the Office of the Supervisor of Elections. They learned about the duties and
responsibilities of the Supervisor of Elections and different types of voting systems Pasco County has used.
They also voted in a mock election using the iVotronic Touch Screen voting system.



February 17 - February 23, 2003 - Pasco County Fair
Pasco Elections Office employees were at the Pasco County Fairgrounds providing a glimpse into the History of Elections in Pasco County.
