November 16, 2011 - Cypress Elementary

Supervisor Corley spoke to students at Cypress Elementary School about the importance of voting during the Great American Teach-In.

November 10, 2011 - Honoring our Veterans

Supervisor Corley was honored to attend the 2011 ceremony honoring our Veterans at Gulfside Elementary.

November 3, 2011 - Centennial Middle School

Supervisor Corley spoke to 250 7th grade students at Centennial Middle School about the importance of voting.

November 2, 2011 - Mitchell High School

Supervisor Corley spoke to the Freshman Class of Mitchell High School.

October 26, 2011 - Trinity Oaks Elementary

Supervisor Corley addressed 80 plus students from Trinity Oaks Elementary School on the Importance of Voting.

October 25, 2011 - Trinity Oaks Elementary Visits Judicial Center

Staff member, Tami Bentley, spoke to second and third graders from Trinity Oaks Elementary. The students visited the West Pasco Judicial Center to learn more about the role of different offices and branches within the Pasco County Government.

October 11, 2011 - Club Politico Meeting

Supervisor Corley spoke to Club Politico regarding Redistricting and the new election laws.

July 26, 2011 - Pollworker EViD Labs

During the week of August 8, 2011, the elections’ office began a new training experience for pollworkers who staff the Help Desk and operate an electronic poll book at Pasco County precincts. The quarterly “EViD Labs” are designed to help these pollworkers sharpen their skills and stay current with the equipment they use on Election Day.

 

July 26, 2011 - Redistricting Public Hearing

Supervisor Corley addressed a group of Florida State Legislators during a redistricting public hearing. He stressed the importance of timely decisions as they affect the responsibilities of the Supervisor of Elections.

 

June 9, 2011 - Australian Global Study Exchange

Supervisor Corley had the opportunity to meet with members of the Australian Global Study Exchange through Rotary International. Supervisor Corley briefed the delegation on voting and election law in the United States and Florida.

May 13, 2011 - Imagine Charter School

Supervisor Corley addressed students from Imagine Charter School on Civics and the Importance of Voting at the Dade City Courthouse.

The Supervisor of Elections’ office, with the aid of volunteers, filmed footage for our Pollworker Training videos at Valleydale Estates Civic Center in Zephyrhills.

April 7, 2011 - Pollworker Training

Supervisor Corley and Chief Deputy, Melba Hamilton, prepared staff members for their upcoming roles as pollworkers. Staff members served as pollworkers for the Municpal Elections on April 12, 2011 for the Cities of San Antonio and Zephyrhills.

April 5, 2011 - Outreach Ambassador Training

Staff member, Tami Bentley, conducted training and orientation for new outreach ambassadors on April 5, 2011 at the West Pasco Government Center.

Outreach Ambassadors, Ruth Bethencourt, Pat Brown and Cheryl Patnode staffed our booth at the Chasco Fiesta Flea Market on March 26, 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Pasco County Fair

Once again as part of voter education/outreach, the Supervisor of Elections’ office had an exhibit in Higgins Hall at the Pasco County Fairgrounds. In keeping with the fair theme, “C’mon Get Happy”, the elections’ office has put their slant on that theme by reminding everyone to “C’mon Get Happy” – “You Can Vote”, a privilege we should never take for granted. Elections’ office staff and Outreach Ambassadors manned the booth during fair hours to take new voter registrations as well as updates such as address, party and name changes to existing voter registrations.

January 20, 2011 - City Clerks Meeting

Supervisor of Elections, Brian Corley, met with the city clerks and their staff on January 20, 2011 at the Land O' Lakes Community Center. The meeting was geared toward preparing the clerks for the upcoming municipal elections to be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2011.

January 11, 2011 - FSASE Winter Conference

Cheif Deputy, Melba Hamilton, with the help of Tracie Collier from Duval County and Christine Goding of Polk County, conducted a workshop during the FSASE Winter Conference. The workshop focused on opening/closing procedures for Election Day and phone bank operations.
