As part of the elections’ office voter education plan, Supervisor of Elections Brian Corley and
his staff are available to demonstrate the optical scan voting equipment to your club or
organization at your next meeting or event. The machines were first used in the August 26, 2008
Primary Election, and our goal is to continue to familiarize as many voters as possible with optical scan voting.
During the 2007 legislative session, a law was passed that mandates all Florida counties with
touchscreen voting machines replace them with optical scan voting equipment.
One of our major responsibilities is to provide education to the voters of Pasco County
about our voting equipment. Your organization can help us meet this responsibility.
In addition, we will be scheduling public demonstrations throughout the county and
broadcasting notices on the Pasco County Government Channel, GOV2 channel 622, on cable
television. The dates, times and locations of public demonstrations
are published on this website.
We welcome the opportunity to speak to your group, demonstrate the
equipment and address any special concerns you may have.
To schedule a demonstration, please contact Tracy at 1-800-851-8754.
