Municipal Elections Postponed by Executive Order

Pasco County FL - Brian E. Corley, Supervisor of Elections, announced the Executive Order by Governor DeSantis to postpone the April 14, 2020 Municipal Elections in the cities of Dade City, San Antonio, and Zephyrhills due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  The Municipal Elections will be rescheduled to a later date as practicable.  City leaders unanimously agreed that delaying their elections was in the best public interest.

The April 2, 2020 request to Governor DeSantis was made the same day the Governor announced a stay-at-home order for the state of Florida.  "Although my office is responsible for conducting elections in Pasco County, only the state has the authority to postpone an election," said Supervisor Corley.  "The Governor has now signed the order making it official to protect the health and safety of voters, poll workers and staff."

Due to the uncertainty of how the pandemic will affect the remainder of the election year, and in the interest of public safety, the elections' office has been promoting voting by mail for several weeks.  Voting by mail is easy, convenient, and can be done in the safety of your home. Request your vote-by-mail ballot on-line at https://www.pascovotes.gov/ or by calling 800-851-8754.
